Central Venous Angioplasty: Dialysis Patient

A 46-year-old female patient on maintenance dialysis via left brachiocephalic AV fistula complained of swelling of left arm and face for 1 month.

Diagnosis of Central Venous Stenosis was made on ultrasound and angiography.

Treatment received: Angioplasty of left brachiocephalic vein.

Pre-procedure image: complete occlusion of left brachiocephalic vein.

Post procedure: After angioplasty normal flow was established in the left brachiocephalic vein.

Post-procedure clinical image showing reduced swelling after 3 days.
